History of JABA® Stepova Camouflage

The JABA® Stepova camouflage was designed with natural camouflage mechanisms in mind. The development was based on studying the coloration of animals that naturally blend into their surroundings. One such inspiration was the common steppe toad, whose natural defense is its unique camouflage coloring, allowing it to remain unnoticed by predators.

To develop the camouflage, modern 3D modeling and simulation technologies were used, helping to create an optimal pattern for different lighting conditions and terrain of Ukraine. The final version of the coloring was field-tested to ensure maximum camouflage effectiveness.
