The Lowa R-8 GTX® Thermo is a boot that's great for everyday use in the city or for cross-country travel with a variety of stresses for hikers, military or people who are outdoors a lot. They are suitable for winter use, both in and out of town.

The design of this model features eight-inch leather boots with a membrane, minimalist design, and a high-traffic sole. These boots will reliably protect the ankle from sprains, which can have negative consequences when moving on slippery uneven terrain, and also protect the foot from damage in general. This guarantees exceptional comfort of movement in all conditions.

The main material is smooth dyed leather, which protects against cold, precipitation and damage. The lining on the inside has a Gore-Tex® membrane, which is a high-tech membrane that protects the foot from getting wet, while it also helps move excess moisture away from the foot to the outside. Between the membrane and the outer material there is a layer of insulation PrymaLoft® 400. This is a high-tech synthetic insulation, the best currently available.

The high-tech Vibram® Arctic Grip Traс II outsole has a three-layer construction for better distribution of the load and comfort during long walks. The first layer is the patented Monowrap® technology with lateral support system, it is attached to the upper and provides good cushioning. The DuraPU® midsole is another layer of outsole that guarantees better stabilization on different surfaces. The last layer of the outsole is a tenacious and self-cleaning tread. In addition, this layer has Arctic Grip inserts that guarantee the best grip on slippery surfaces.

The tongue is of special construction, which secures the tongue to the main boot and prevents water from getting into the boot even in deep puddles or heavy rainfalls. A softer leather element is sewn into the back of the boot for better foot function and less pressure on the Achilles tendon. The lacing has closed steel hooks positioned so that the lacing does not cling to foreign objects as you walk. The toe and heel have internal inserts for higher stress resistance.

Warranty and care

The company PROF1Group® is the sole official distributor of the LOWA® Task Force (Professional) footwear line in Ukraine since 2005 (link to the official Lowa® website). All LOWA® footwear comes with a warranty against manufacturing defects. If defects are found during use, you need to:

• write an email to [email protected];
• send a photo of the defect and your order number (or a purchase receipt from our retail stores).

The warranty period is 3 months from the date of purchase (considering the seasonality of the footwear according to the current Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection”).

The warranty does not cover defects and damages caused by negligent or improper use of the footwear (drying near an open heat source, etc.).

Shipping and payment

Information about sending orders:

• orders are sent within Ukraine by the logistics company Nova Poshta
• delivery time from the moment of ordering is on average 2-3 days (and up to 5 days if the product is in a remote warehouse)
