LOWA Maddox GTX LO TF are lightweight, low-cut tactical shoes designed for active movement, professional use, hiking, travel and everyday wear. The model combines the flexibility of athletic footwear with technologies from LOWA's professional and outdoor ranges: a waterproof GORE-TEX® Professional membrane, LOWA® DynaPU® cushioning, the LOWA® Monowrap® stabilization system and the LOWA® Enduro EVO outsole.
The low-cut LO profile, flexible construction and weight of approximately 720 g per pair in UK size 8 make the Maddox GTX LO TF primarily focused on mobility. This model is designed for situations where fast and natural movement, comfort during extended walking and reliable traction on different types of surfaces are important.
GORE-TEX® Professional - Protection from Moisture
The LOWA Maddox GTX LO TF feature a GORE-TEX® Professional membrane. It creates a waterproof barrier that protects the foot from external moisture and wind while allowing water vapor to escape from inside the footwear.
The combination of the membrane with synthetic and textile upper materials makes the Maddox GTX LO TF suitable for changing weather conditions, extended walking and active movement. The upper consists of 50% synthetic materials and 50% textile, providing a balance of durability, low weight and comfort.
LOWA® DynaPU® - Cushioning While Walking
Cushioning is provided by the LOWA® DynaPU® polyurethane midsole. It helps absorb impact forces generated with each step and supports foot comfort during extended walking.
The Double Injection construction directly connects the footwear upper to the sole using a multi-layer polyurethane component. This approach allows LOWA to create different functional properties in individual areas of the sole and combine cushioning with stability.
LOWA® Monowrap® - Foot Stabilization
The LOWA® Monowrap® system forms a three-dimensional supportive structure around the foot. It helps stabilize the foot inside the footwear and provides additional lateral support during movement.
At the same time, the Maddox GTX LO TF have a Flexible stiffness rating. This allows the footwear to remain flexible enough for a natural foot roll and dynamic movement, which is particularly important for a low-cut model focused on mobility.
LOWA® Enduro EVO Outsole
The LOWA® Enduro EVO is a rubber outsole with a pronounced tread profile designed for use on different types of surfaces. The tread pattern helps maintain traction when moving along dirt trails, rocky sections, asphalt and mixed surfaces.
Combining the Enduro EVO with the DynaPU® cushioning midsole and Monowrap® system creates an integrated construction in which the outsole provides contact with the surface, the midsole provides cushioning, and Monowrap® supports and stabilizes the foot.
Speed-Lace - Fast Fit Adjustment
Instead of a conventional lacing system, the LOWA Maddox GTX LO TF feature Speed-Lace. It allows the lacing to be quickly loosened or tightened and the fit to be adjusted around the foot.
This construction is particularly convenient in situations where footwear needs to be put on or removed frequently or quickly. The locking mechanism maintains the selected lace tension without requiring a traditional knot.
What Conditions Are the LOWA Maddox GTX LO TF Suitable For?
The combination of a low-cut profile, flexible construction and low weight makes the Maddox GTX LO TF optimized for active movement. The model is suitable for professional use, extended walking routes, hiking, travel, outdoor activities and everyday wear.
The low-cut LO construction provides greater freedom of movement around the ankle compared with higher tactical boots. At the same time, it should be considered that this construction does not provide the same level of ankle support and protection as MID or HI models. The Maddox GTX LO TF are therefore primarily aimed at users who prioritize mobility, low weight and flexibility.
EN ISO 20347:2012 Certification
The LOWA Maddox GTX LO TF are CE certified in accordance with EN ISO 20347:2012. This standard applies to occupational footwear and defines a range of requirements for its construction and performance characteristics.
EN ISO 20347 applies to occupational footwear without a protective toe cap designed to provide the impact or compression protection associated with safety footwear featuring a dedicated protective toe cap. This is an important distinction when selecting footwear for specific professional environments.
