Rapid Assault Shirt is a tactical shirt for body armor (ubacs) from the brand 5.11 Tactical®. It will help maintain comfort and moisture wicking during constant wear of plates or body armor. The shirt can be paired with MultiCam camouflage pants bought separately.

Construction Features

To ensure maximum efficiency and convenience in using the Rapid Assault ubacs, it is made from three types of fabric. Different areas of the shirt are connected with flat lock seams, which are quite elastic and stretch along with the fabric without restricting movement.

The high stand-up collar protects the neck from sunlight and dirt. It closes with a zipper that extends to the middle of the chest. The integrated chin guard provides convenience when putting on the shirt quickly. The shoulder area is designed in a raglan sleeve construction, which eliminates the shoulder seam. This makes it comfortable to wear the ubacs with plates or a backpack, reducing friction in that area. There are pockets with Velcro on the sleeves for storing small items, positioned at an angle for easy access inside. There are Velcro panel patches on top for attaching identification marks (patches). The elbows are protected with an additional layer of fabric, which further increases durability. The cuff volume is individually adjustable for the user with Velcro.

Material Advantages

Zonal placement of three types of fabrics improves thermoregulation and accelerates drying. This fabric combination maintains both the strength of the product in stress zones and breathability.

The main Ripstop material in the original MultiCam® camouflage protects the arms and shoulders. The fabric composition includes polyester and cotton, and the Ripstop weave provides high tear strength and abrasion resistance. This is due to the density of the material and the reinforced thread woven into the fabric. The MultiCam® camouflage retains its color well and does not change under UV exposure.

The torso and back area are made of jersey fabric, combining cotton, polyester, and elastane. It is additionally coated with a special finish for quick drying.

On the sides, under the arms, and on the back of the neck, there is a jersey mesh made using Vent-Tac™ technology. This is an integrated ventilation system that helps to remove moisture from the skin. The fabric's special coating absorbs moisture, dries quickly, and provides comfort even during active movements.

5.11 Tactical® has eliminated the use of PFAS compounds in its products. This reduces the negative impact on the environment and increases the safety of the products not only for people but also for flora and fauna.
