Bastion Jacket is a winter tactical jacket by the 5.11 Tactical® brand. It is designed to protect against precipitation and keep you warm even on the coldest day. The jacket is suitable for both everyday use in the city and for long walks in the frosty air. This model is a commercial analogue of the seventh layer of the American expanded cold weather clothing system - ECWCS Gen III Level 7.

Features of materials

The material from which the Bastion Jacket tactical jacket is made is a two-layer Hardshell membrane. This fabric does an excellent job of protecting against precipitation and removing excess vapors from the body. This membrane has a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm, and vapor permeability of 10,000 g/m2 in 24 hours. These are basic indicators, which are more than enough for walking around the city or skiing in light precipitation.

Primaloft® Silver Eco is used as insulation - a lightweight synthetic material that perfectly retains heat even when wet. Also, to maintain optimal body temperature and protect against overheating, zonal insulation is used: the body is 136 g/m2, and the sleeves and hood are 81 g/m2.)

To increase wear resistance, special nylon overlays are placed on the shoulders and lower part of the sleeves. This combination of the outer and inner layer creates reliable protection against external factors.

5.11 Tactical® has eliminated the use of PFAS compounds in its products, reducing the negative impact on the environment and increasing the safety of products not only for people, but also for flora and fauna.

Design features

The design of the tactical jacket includes seven pockets: two external for warming hands, two sleeve pockets with Velcro panels, two internal pockets and one near the cuff. Special zippers in the armpit area deserve special attention, which help maintain thermoregulation at the proper level, protecting against overheating. Also, the volume of the hood and hem is adjusted using elastic bands with stoppers. Additionally, internal cuffs and an internal storm flap on the central zipper protect against wind and precipitation.
