Bastion Pants are winter tactical pants by the 5.11 Tactical® brand. They are designed to protect against precipitation and keep you warm even on the coldest day. These pants are suitable for both everyday use in the city and for long walks in the frosty air. This model is a commercial analogue of the seventh layer of the American Advanced Cold Weather Clothing System - ECWCS Gen III Level 7.

Features of materials

The material from which the Bastion Pants tactical trousers are made is a two-layer Hardshell membrane. This fabric does an excellent job of protecting against precipitation and removing excess vapors from the body. This membrane has a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm, and a vapor permeability of 10,000 g/m2 for 24 hours. These are basic indicators, which are more than enough for walking around the city or skiing in light precipitation.

Primaloft® Silver Eco is used as insulation - a lightweight synthetic material that perfectly retains heat even when wet. To increase wear resistance, special nylon pads are placed on the knees and the bottom of the boots. This combination of the outer and inner layer creates reliable protection against external factors.

5.11 Tactical® has eliminated the use of PFAS compounds in its products, reducing the negative impact on the environment and increasing the safety of products not only for people, but also for flora and fauna.

Design features

Tactical pants have two front pockets in the waist area. Special zippers in the side seams deserve special attention, which can be used for thermoregulation or to simplify putting on pants over other layers of clothing. The bottom of the legs has hook-and-loop and button adjustments, as well as an internal snow cuff for additional protection from snow and precipitation. Thanks to this design, it is possible to put on the pants without taking off your boots. The waist area has an improved design for maximum comfort during active movements. Elastic inserts are also sewn on the sides, and the back of the belt has an increased height.
