The Zephyr II GTX LO TF Ws demi-season boots are a legendary model that has been on the market for over 10 years. They were used extensively by US Special Forces and Coalition forces during the Afghan, Iraq and Syrian campaigns, where these boots proved to be an ultra-durable, comfortable and functional footwear.

The main area of use is on different types of terrain, in difficult conditions, with loads, etc. This model provides walking comfort as a lightweight hiking boot, but also provides good ankle support and protection for the foot as a whole, as with the rigid trekking models. This is a multi-layer construction where every detail has been thought out.

The upper is made from a combination of natural suede and textile inserts. The suede is a robust material that has good water repellency and water resistance, while the textile elements reduce the shoe's weight. A Gore-Tex® membrane on the inside guarantees the foot protection from rain and good water vapour permeability in all conditions. The most important thing that distinguishes this membrane from its counterparts is the control of products using this technology at each production stage by the manufacturer of the Gore-Tex® membrane. There is a layer of special closed-cell foam between the base material and the membrane. This material does not have a sponge-like structure, so it does not absorb moisture and keeps feet dry.

The Lowa Monowrap® midsole is a three-dimensional construction between the upper and the outsole. It provides stabilisation, side protection to the foot and also creates natural ankle plantation from toe to heel with Stability Frame technology.

The Lowa Zephyr boot's outsole is a molded construction that combines different layers to provide maximum comfort protection and support for the foot. The Lowa Cross outsole consists of an optimised rubber compound for good grip on different surfaces. The Lowa Rubber Outsole tread is self-cleaning and works well on both ground and asphalt.

All the layers are bonded together by a technically complex injection process. This means that the upper is placed in a specially designed mould and then the different layers of polyurethane foam are injected into the mould. In this way, the upper, midsole and outsole are joined together to form a reliable one-piece construction.

The lacing in the Zephyr features a system of closed hooks that securely hold the foot in place. They guide the laces and prevent them from catching when they encounter foreign objects.
