A/T™ Trainer MID 2.0 – is a pair of boots designed for various tasks from the 5.11 Tactical® brand. It is part of the 5.11 Tactical® All Terrain Load Assistance System Technology footwear line. The updated model features improved ankle fixation and support, which is important during active movement. These boots can be used for tactical tasks, tourism, sports activities, or everyday wear.
Design and technology features
A.T.L.A.S. technology is an acronym for All Terrain Load Assistance System. Inside the boot, there is a 5.11® Echo Lite midsole made of EVA foam. The key feature of this material is its closed-cell structure. This means EVA foam does not absorb moisture like a sponge and retains its cushioning properties for a long time. This ensures high shock absorption performance, which is important when running or carrying heavy loads.
Inside the boots, there is also a removable 5.11® A.T.L.A.S. Support Plate insole. It can be used when moving off-road with heavy loads. It helps distribute pressure on the ankle, reduces fatigue, and makes long walks more comfortable.
Material advantages
The upper part of the A/T™ Trainer MID 2.0 boots is made from a combination of mesh and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The mesh has high abrasion resistance, provides ventilation, and reduces the weight of the footwear. The TPU coating protects both the boots and the foot from possible damage and additionally stabilizes the foot.
The outsole features a multi-directional tread pattern that improves grip on various surfaces, including soil, rocks, and sand. A special protective toe cap is provided to protect the toes from impacts against stones or branches. The combination of technologies and materials enhances comfort and facilitates off-road movement, reducing fatigue.
