The history of the company began long before its foundation, even during the Vietnam War. The future founder, Spencer Fraser, was a member of the Research and Observation Group, and all equipment and weapons were not manufactured by American companies for the purpose of secrecy. After the war, the unit was disbanded, and the idea of creating high-end equipment remained. However, the founder was able to achieve the conceived and after a decade and a half he created a company which he called SOG.
