SAM® Splint Immobilization Splint is a versatile medical device designed for temporary immobilization of upper or lower extremities. This type of splint is significantly lighter than plaster or fiberglass alternatives, suitable for various types of immobilization, and can be reused.

SAM® Splint is recognized worldwide and in demand among emergency responders, military personnel, rescue services, veterinarians, and even NASA. It can be cut to the required length and bent as needed for secure immobilization.

Materials used in the SAM® Splint

SAM® Splint utilizes the C-Curve™ technology combining aluminum and foam. The outer part is made of foam with closed-cell pores, preventing moisture absorption. It is also dermatologically safe and latex-free. Inside, there is a lightweight and thin aluminum alloy that allows bending into any position.

Features of using SAM® Splint

SAM® Splint is resistant to environmental conditions, designed to work in a wide range of temperatures from the Sahara to Mount Everest. It is also waterproof, allowing use in water. This splint is versatile and can immobilize any part of the body, such as fingers, neck, arms, or legs. If needed, the splint can be cut with household scissors lengthwise and crosswise to fit the optimal size.

A significant advantage of SAM® Splint over plaster or fiberglass alternatives is not only its lightweight but also its reusability. It can be washed and disinfected. Importantly, the material allows for X-rays and CT scans without removing the splint due to its electromagnetic radiation permeability.
