The FRS L/S (Frogman Range Shirt) is a long-sleeved field training shirt by the P1G® brand. It is designed for use in hot weather by military personnel, instructors, law enforcement officers, and anyone who uses plate carriers and similar products.

Design features

The Frogman Range Shirt is made of two types of mesh material. This improves ventilation in the torso and back areas and maintains wear resistance on the shoulders and sleeves. The collar follows the anatomical structure of the neck, which prevents dirt and sand from getting inside, and also protects against the effects of sunlight. In addition, the shape of the collar protects the neck from rubbing against the straps of backpacks, plate carriers and unloading systems (RPS).

The sleeves feature zippered pockets, which also feature a Velcro panel for attaching identification patches. The pockets are large enough to hold small personal equipment or ID.

Integrated APS system

In hot weather, the skin is prone to heavy sweating and close contact with equipment made of stiff materials. A thin layer of clothing does not protect the skin from damage, so the APS system was developed to solve this problem.

Abrasion Pads System are zonal protective pads that prevent chafing and wound formation in areas where equipment comes into contact with the body. Such pads have increased abrasion resistance, while remaining as elastic and breathable as the main material.

The APS (Abrasion Pads System) includes:

1. Shoulder pads – protect the trapezius muscles, collarbone, and upper chest from the negative impact of the shoulder straps of the equipment. They also improve the fit and protect the collarbone from the energy of the recoil of the stock.
2. Sleeve pads – protect the elbow joint and forearm from sunburn and minor technical injuries associated with falling onto abrasive surfaces.
3. Back pads – protect against the pressure of hard back plates of body armor and backpacks.

APS creates an additional layer of air in the areas where the equipment fits, thereby accelerating the removal of heat and moisture from the body. This prevents chafing and increases the wear resistance of the shirt in the areas where the equipment fits.

Advantages of materials

The FRS shirt is divided into two zones, which are made of durable TropiFlex mesh material: the arms and shoulder area with TropiFlex Classic, and the torso and back with TropiFlex Perforated. In general, both types of material are characterized as quite elastic, durable and quick-drying.

The difference is that the Perforated fabric has larger ventilation holes that provide better air circulation. This is important for maintaining a comfortable body temperature in hot weather while wearing a bulletproof vest. At the same time, the sleeves remain wear-resistant due to the higher density of the Classic material.

The APS system overlays are made of a special 3D Air Mesh, which has a high air permeability, dries quickly and creates a cushioning effect that reduces the pressure of the equipment on the body.

All parts of the product are connected with a high-tech Flatlock seam, which ensures uniform stretching of the shirt during active movements and increases its wear resistance.

Designed by the military for the military

FRS (Frogman Range Shirt) is created based on real military experience of using equipment in combat conditions and training for operational work. This shirt can be used as a summer main layer of clothing, as a summer upper second layer of clothing (over basic underwear) and as a basic summer layer under a combat shirt or fleece jacket.

The anatomical structure, flat elastic seams and elastic material have made it possible to create a shirt that does not hinder any movements. Another advantage is that during active physical exertion, folds are not created under the equipment.
