Burnshield® Dressing is a hydrogel burn dressing from the Burnshield® brand. It is designed for use in burns of any type: burns to limbs, face, and body. The packaging can be cut and used as a limb cover.
The dressing soaked in sterile Burnshield® hydrogel has a high water content, providing cooling, heat absorption, and dissipation. This prevents the burn from progressing to deeper layers of the skin. Additionally, the dressing does not stick to the wound, is non-irritating, does not contain toxic substances, and is safe for children.
Burnshield® Dressing can be used on all types of burns regardless of their location. These may include:
- chemical burns
- sunburns
- radiation burns
- burns caused by exposure to open flames
- thermal burns and scalds
