Mil-tec Swiss Army Alpine Goggles Multi

We have here the Swiss Gebrigsjäger (mountain troops) goggles complete with metal carrying case. These 1920's antique snow goggles have dark yellow/green lenses to shield the wearers eyes from the glare of the sun reflecting off the bright white snow.

Made from metal and glass, the eye pieces are held together by a fabric bridge (probably cotton) and this same type of fabric makes the straps that can be tied together to keep the goggles in place. There is also black velvet in place around the eye cups to provide some comfort.

Who would need vintage Swiss alpine goggles such as this? These are the same snow goggles that got Sir Ed Hillary to the top of Everest, so for the climbers out there eyeing up the tallest peaks, this is what you need. These would also look the part in any Steampunk scene. You could even hit the slopes and bring a bit of WWII nostalgia to the mountain...just leave the Mauser at home though.

Features:

  • Hinged Metal storage case
  • Vented metal frames
  • Vintage 1920s surplus
  • Velvet lined eye cups
  • Cotton straps for a secure manual fit

Size: One size fits most
Weight: 76grams (including metal case)
Condition: Used/Good
