Wave® Alpha – is a multitool from the brand Leatherman®, made of premium-grade stainless steel. It contains 18 tools, which is sufficient for performing almost any task. Thanks to their reliability, Leatherman® multitools have been popular for many years among military personnel, tourists, and all fans of an active lifestyle.
The Wave® Alpha model is an updated and improved version of the well-known Leatherman® Wave®+ (Wave® Plus).
Material advantages
Wave® Alpha is made of 420 stainless steel with a hardness of 48-56 HRC. It has an increased carbon content, which adds rigidity and thus improves durability.
The knife is made of MagnaCut® stainless steel with a hardness of 60-63 HRC. It was specifically developed for manufacturing multi-purpose multitools. This steel combines strength and corrosion resistance and, most importantly, retains sharpness well. The Black Oxide coating increases corrosion resistance and reduces light reflection that could blind the user.
The handle scales are made of G10 – a multilayer composite material based on epoxy resin and fiberglass. The material has a textured surface, ensuring a secure grip in the hand. G10 composite is highly wear-resistant and resistant to temperature changes and exposure to most aggressive environments, such as acids, fats, and alkalis.
