The Quick-Release Cummerbund by Alpha Armor is a practical and reliable solution for enhancing the protection and upgrading the 5.11 Tactical® TacTec Plate Carrier. It provides an additional level of protection, improves the fit of the plate carrier, and increases comfort during prolonged wear.

Optional Equipment

The cummerbund is supplied without soft ballistic inserts, but they can be purchased separately. The ballistic protection is made from UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene) and complies with the STANAG 2920 standard. Soft ballistic inserts provide protection against fragments, ricochets, explosive projectiles, and certain other ballistic threats.

Available options:

• UHMWPE soft ballistic insert set (DSTU Protection Level 1)
• UHMWPE soft ballistic insert set (DSTU Protection Level 2)

Please note! The cummerbund size corresponds to the size of the compatible soft ballistic inserts.

Construction Features

The cummerbund is designed for side attachment to a plate carrier, allowing the vest to be secured firmly against the body. This prevents the equipment from shifting or bouncing even during intensive movement, running, or tactical operations.

The design features three rows of MOLLE webbing for attaching additional pouches and equipment. For fast and convenient doffing, the cummerbund utilizes the 2M ROC quick-release system. The adjustable circumference allows the fit to be precisely tailored to both the user and their equipment.

Material Advantages

The cummerbund is manufactured from genuine, premium-quality Cordura® MultiCam® 500D fabric. The material is treated with a special Near Infrared (NIR) coating that helps reduce visibility in the near-infrared spectrum when observed through night vision devices. This treatment improves integration with the surrounding environment, enhancing safety during nighttime operations. The original MultiCam® camouflage pattern also offers excellent color retention and high resistance to fading caused by UV exposure.
