The company begins its history more than 100 years ago. For five generations the Buck family has been running the company from day one to the present. And everything started with talent and patriotism. When America entered World War II, the government asked the public to donate fixed blade knives to arm the troops. Upon learning about it, the company's founder, Hoyt Buck, bought the necessary equipment to produce knives and opened a forge in the church basement. After the war, together with his son, he opened a store, which was a new stage of already mass production in the history of the brand. In the 60s of the 20th century, the development of a new folding universal and hunting knife was started. The brand Buck Knives attributed the invention of folding hunting knife and its popularization to such an extent that the term "buck knife" has become synonymous with folding knives with a clamp, including those made by other manufacturers.
