Bronyx® 5th class protection according to DSTU 8782:2018 - is a lightweight armor plate with 5 levels of ballistic protection from the brand Bronyx®.

This model is certified and according to test results protects against:

• 7.62 x 39 mm FMJ
• 7.62 x 54 mm LPS
• fragments of various sizes, shrapnel, and ricochets

The composite is formed by combining ceramic elements (B4C, boron carbide) and a pressed backing of UHMWPE. Boron Carbide is 5-10% lighter and 15-20% stronger than Silicon Carbide.

Each of the composite materials is designed to perform a specific function when hit by a bullet. The ceramic layer destroys the penetrating element of the bullet (thermoresistant core), and the UHMWPE backing prevents bullet remnants from penetrating through the armor plate. Additionally, UHMWPE retains most of the energy from the impact and evenly distributes it.

The Shooter's Cut plate shape has angled corners and an anatomically convenient curvature in two planes according to the 3D Multi Curved technology. Therefore, the armor plate replicates the shape of the chest, improving comfort during daily use and providing maximum body fit and even weight distribution of the plate.
