Tibet GTX® are winter boots from the brand LOWA®. They are designed for movement and static loads under extreme mountain conditions. This model combines durability, functionality, heat retention, and protection from precipitation. The boots are part of the winter footwear line LOWA® Tibet.

Advantages of Materials

 

Tibet GTX® boots are made of natural leather, which is not only a strong material but also has good breathability and moisture protection properties. Inside, there is a Gore-Tex® membrane, which guarantees protection from precipitation and good breathability during any type of activity. The key feature that distinguishes this membrane from others is the control of production at every stage by the company Gore-Tex®. To protect the lateral zone of the leather, a rubber rand is placed on the boot, which also allows the use of crampons, snowshoes, and climbing irons on rubber fixings. The rubber rand also protects the footwear and foot from rocks and branches.

Additional Technologies

 

The front and side zones of the boot are constructed using the Minimal Seams technology. It reduces the number of seams and material overlays by using large pieces of material in forming the upper part of the boot. This reduces the pressure points on the foot, increasing comfort during walking.

The Vibram® Masai sole was specifically designed for use in cold climates. With a tread pattern that provides good grip on rocky, smooth, and wet surfaces. Inside, between the upper part of the boot and the sole, there is a midsole Dual Density DuraPU® - a high-tech foam layer. It plays a key role not only in the cushioning properties of the footwear but also prevents excessive pronation and supination of the foot. Also, with constant use, DynaPU® does not lose its high operational characteristics.

The FlexFit system provides a natural range of motion in the ankle. Special inserts in the Achilles tendon area and between the upper and lower lacing zones allow the foot to comfortably flex and extend. At the same time, the foot remains securely fixed.

Inside the boot, there is an insulated insole LOWA® Insulate Pro. It has a foil insert inside that shields the cold coming from the ground and retains heat inside. This way, the foot is protected from the cold not only by the insulation from the sides but also by keeping the sole warm.

Lacing

 

For reliable and comfortable foot fixation, a two-zone lacing system is provided. It consists of closed loops and hooks and allows for different levels of lacing tightness in the foot and ankle area. Special I-Lock loops with an integrated blocker help with this. After the loop is lowered to the boot, the lace is securely fixed in the selected position.

The anatomical tongue C4-Tongue has an additional lining to reduce pressure points on the ankle. It features a special hook that is part of the patented X-Lacing technology. This tongue is held both vertically and horizontally. This prevents slipping, reducing pressure points or the formation of blisters. X-Lacing ensures that lace pressure is transmitted not only to the hooks but also to the tongue.

Warranty and care

The company PROF1Group® is the sole official distributor of the LOWA® Task Force (Professional) footwear line in Ukraine since 2005 (link to the official Lowa® website). All LOWA® footwear comes with a warranty against manufacturing defects. If defects are found during use, you need to:

• write an email to [email protected];
• send a photo of the defect and your order number (or a purchase receipt from our retail stores).

The warranty period is 3 months from the date of purchase (considering the seasonality of the footwear according to the current Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection”).

The warranty does not cover defects and damages caused by negligent or improper use of the footwear (drying near an open heat source, etc.).
