The LOWA® Z-6S MK2 GTX® PR Ws model is certified professional footwear and is suitable for:
- military personnel
- special forces operators
- training center instructors
- shooting range and training ground staff
- law enforcement and security personnel
- tourists for active recreation in challenging terrain
Since 2019, LOWA® footwear has been officially adopted for supply by the CSO “A” of the SBU, SOF and other units in accordance with MoD specifications for boots, including the LOWA® Z-6 model.
What’s new in LOWA® Z-line MK2 GTX® PR?
Gore-Tex® Professional membrane
Inside the boots there is a Gore-Tex® Professional membrane, now made from ePE (expanded polyethylene) instead of ePTFE (Teflon). The ePE material is twice as thin and lighter, while still offering a high strength-to-weight ratio, providing resistance to tearing and abrasion.
It is produced without the use of harmful perfluorinated compounds (PFAS/PFC), which reduces environmental impact. This increases the safety of the product not only for people but also for flora and fauna.
LOWA® Tactical 2 ESD outsole
The foot is protected by the new Tactical 2 ESD outsole, which offers a number of advantages compared to the previous version:
- Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) protection – specialized certification allows the boots to be used when working with electronics and specialized equipment.
- Penetration Resistance (PR) – an internal non-metallic layer that protects against punctures. This layer can protect the foot from debris, nails, and other sharp objects.
- Ladder Grip (LG) zone located between the toe and heel. It provides stability even during fast movement on ladders.
- Heat resistance (HRO) ensures sole integrity, preventing it from melting or cracking after brief contact with hot surfaces.
- Fuel and oil resistance (FO) means the outsole will not deform or crumble from constant exposure to fuel or oils.
- Cold (CI) and heat (HI) insulation allows comfortable performance in tasks on frozen ground or hot sand.
- Slip Resistance (SR) tread pattern provides reliable grip on wet, slippery, oily surfaces and various types of terrain.
Design updates
The Z MK2 line received a new upper construction. The toe area now has no side seam and is made from a single piece of leather. The placement of other seams was also optimized, reducing pressure points and load while improving durability. The shaft area is now more angled toward the back, increasing comfort during wear and making the boot easier to put on.
Proven solutions
Some structural components and materials remain unchanged. They have stood the test of time and demanding tasks, withstanding the loads placed upon them:
- LOWA® Monowrap® and Stability Frame foot support – this is an intermediate outsole layer that extends into the outer part of the boot. The construction supports the foot, providing stability and lateral protection.
- Double Injection bonding process combines a technologically complex method in which a unified boot-and-outsole structure is formed under pressure.
- Lacing with Metal Closed Hooks reduces the risk of snagging during contact with objects, which is important for footwear used by military personnel.
Natural leather – protection and comfort in challenging conditions
LOWA® Z MK2 boots are made of natural leather, which remains one of the best materials for tactical footwear production. It combines high durability, comfort, and resistance to external influences. High-quality leather provides effective protection of the foot against moisture, mechanical damage, and temperature fluctuations. The material adapts well to the shape of the foot, ensuring comfort even during intensive use.
Advantages of leather over synthetic alternatives:
- high wear resistance
- additional foot protection
- long-lasting construction durability
- good breathability
- comfortable fit on the foot
- stability and foot support
- resistance to mechanical damage
High-quality tactical boots – an investment in comfort and reliability
LOWA® Z-6S MK2 GTX® PR are designed specifically for military use and are built to withstand continuous loads, long marches, and harsh weather conditions. This is not just footwear, but an essential part of equipment that works for you every day. They provide comfort, safety, and endurance in any conditions.
By investing in proven footwear, you choose reliability for years to come!
