Z-8N MK2 GTX® PR are tactical boots by the LOWA® brand. What's new in the LOWA® Z-line MK2 GTX® PR?

Gore-Tex® Professional membrane

Inside the boots is a Gore-Tex® Professional membrane, which is now made from ePE (expanded polyethylene) instead of ePTFE (Teflon). ePE is half as thick and half as heavy, but has a high strength-to-weight ratio, providing resistance to tearing and abrasion.

It is manufactured without the use of harmful perfluorinated compounds (PFAS/PFC), which reduces its negative impact on the environment. This increases the safety of the product not only for humans, but also for flora and fauna.

LOWA® Tactical 2 ESD sole

The foot is protected by the new Tactical 2 ESD sole model, which has a number of advantages over the previous one:

• Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) protection – specialized certification allows the boots to be used when working with electronics and special equipment.
• Penetration Resistance (PR) – an internal non-metallic layer that protects against punctures. This layer protects the foot from debris, nails, and other sharp objects.
• Ladder Grip (LG) is located between the toe and heel. It adds stability even when moving quickly up a ladder.
• Heat Resistance (HRO) ensures the integrity of the sole, so it does not melt or crack after brief contact with hot surfaces.
• Fuel and oil resistance (FO) means that the sole will not deform or crumble from constant walking on gasoline or oil.
• Cold insulation (CI) and heat insulation (HI) allow you to comfortably perform your tasks despite frozen ground or hot sand underfoot.
• The slip-resistant tread pattern (Slip Resistance/SR) provides good traction on wet, slippery, oily surfaces and various types of terrain.

Design updates

The Z MK2 line has a new upper layer design. Now the toe area has no side seams and is made from a single piece of leather. The placement of other seams has also been optimized, reducing pressure points and stress and improving the boots' wear resistance. The heel area has been sloped more toward the back, which increases comfort when wearing and makes the boot easier to put on.

Proven solutions

Some of the design details and materials remained unchanged. They have stood the test of time and difficult tasks and withstood the load placed on them:

• LOWA® Monowrap® foot protection and Stability Frame are the intermediate sole layer that transitions to the outer layer of the boot. The design supports the foot, provides stabilization and lateral protection of the foot.
• The connection of the Double Injection layers combines a technologically complex process in which a single structure of the boot and sole is created under pressure.
• The lacing in Metal Closed Hooks reduces the likelihood of their snagging during contact with objects, which is important for shoes used by the military.

Warranty and care

The company PROF1Group® is the sole official distributor of the LOWA® Task Force (Professional) footwear line in Ukraine since 2005 (link to the official Lowa® website). All LOWA® footwear comes with a warranty against manufacturing defects. If defects are found during use, you need to:

• write an email to [email protected];
• send a photo of the defect and your order number (or a purchase receipt from our retail stores).

The warranty period is 3 months from the date of purchase (considering the seasonality of the footwear according to the current Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection”).

The warranty does not cover defects and damages caused by negligent or improper use of the footwear (drying near an open heat source, etc.).

Shipping and payment

Information about sending orders:

• orders are sent within Ukraine by the logistics company Nova Poshta
• delivery time from the moment of ordering is on average 2-3 days (and up to 5 days if the product is in a remote warehouse)
