The PT-R® Inure Mid Runner is a training shoe by the 5.11 Tactical® brand. They are designed to maximize the effectiveness of outdoor and indoor training, but will also be a good choice for everyday wear. This model is part of the 5.11 Tactical® PT-R® line of clothing and footwear designed specifically for training.
Design features and materials
The outer part of the sneaker is made of a combination of mesh and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which is placed on the toe and heel for additional foot protection. The mesh is highly abrasion-resistant, provides ventilation and reduces the weight of the shoe. Inside the PT-R® Inure Mid Runner is the high-tech INSITE® Arch Relief PU insole. It creates additional comfort and support, which helps to ease the load on the feet.
This model uses modern CMEVA (Compression Molded EVA) midsole manufacturing technology. The peculiarity is that it is made by injection molding in a mold. This reduces the weight of this individual part and, as a result, the entire product. Also, CMEVA has a stronger structure that restrains pronation and supination of the foot (not the natural curvature of the ankle joint), thereby maintaining healthy feet and reducing fatigue.
CMEVA material has a closed cell type, which means that EVA foam does not have sponge properties. It does not absorb moisture and retains its damping properties for a long time. This ensures high cushioning performance, which is important when running or carrying heavy loads.
The signature 5.11 Tactical® outsole has a multi-directional pattern that increases traction on different surfaces. Thanks to the combination of all the elements, the PT-R® Inure Mid Runner provides 8 mm of cushioning, which has a positive effect on reducing the load on the entire musculoskeletal system.
