German Hood Flame Retardant Original is a flame retardant balaclava from the brand Sturm Mil-Tec®. It can be used as a standalone item or as an under-helmet with various types of helmets or hats. This model is suitable for use in high-risk fire conditions where reliable protection against burns is required.
Advantages of materials and design features
The balaclava is made of three layers to provide flame retardant properties. The fabrics that provide fire protection are aramid from Kermel® and viscose from Lenzing FR®, complemented by carbon fiber from Belltron®. The main advantage of such materials is that they not only protect against burns or ignition, but they are also not prone to melting under high temperatures. The details of the product are connected by flat lock seams, which stretch together with the material, providing additional comfort.
