It all started as many other companies with a garage and a small budget. The brand was named after the founder's favorite dog, which was called Oakley Ann. The first product of the brand were motorcycle handles (so-called grips), and later the product line was extended to include protective gloves, elbow protection and safety glasses. Most of Oakley's developments take place with the participation of athletes and in subsequent tests under extreme conditions. In 1998, a subsidiary company ESS® was established, which specializes in the production of goggles and eye protection masks according to the military specification ANSI Z87.1-2015.
